Local Outreach
Community Reaching Out

Community Reaching Out is the on-line ministry of the Local Out-Team of the Community Bible Church of Stockbridge, Georgia.

We are charged with sowing God's word throughout the local community. We do this by following Jesus' example of compassion and mercy - of love and charity. Our ministries are proof that God, through his disciples in Christ provides for those in spiritual, emotional or physical need and gives everyone, rich or poor, the opportunity to improve their lives.

We do not recruit new members for Community Bible Church. We simply spread the Gospel though our wide assortment of ministries leveraging many of our efforts through the power of partnerships. By working closely with other religious and charitable organizations we are able to provide substantial support to our local community with minimal overhead and duplication of efforts.

We can not do it all on our own. Your help is needed. Opportunities abound with the Local Out-Team. Volunteers are needed with many of our ministries and businesses can gain valuable exposure and community goodwill through sponsorship opportunities of our ministries and events. Even the homebound or bashful can participate by spreading the word across the internet.

Come today and join our family of brothers and sisters in Christ and help us spread the good news throughout our community.

Current Serving Opportunities

HUG cookouts are designed to offer prayer support, clothing, food and meet other practical needs in neighborhoods throughout our community. HUG cookouts give you the opportunity to minister to our neighbors and help meet real needs.

The Urban HUG cookout team feeds approximately 200 homeless men, women and children in a parking lot in downtown Atlanta.

The Adopt A Block ministry visits local distressed communities on a local basis, sharing testimonials, witnessing and otherwise demonstrating Gods love.

Chillin' With J.C. is a children's ministry which visits designated distressed neighborhoods on a regular basis, hosting an hour long children's program. The program includes crafts, water balloon fights and other fun activities sprinkled with the Gospel.

Community @ Exit 1 is a church plant serving the homeless at Exit 1 on I-675 in Stockbridge as well as those in the surrounding extended stay motels. Services are held in a text in the old Arby's parking lot on Davidson Circle. Services are held each Sunday immediately followed by a HUG Cookout.

The Community Disaster Assistance Team provides relief to the victims of disasters which occur within an hour of Community Bible Church's main campus. Whether the disaster be storm, flood or fire related, the Disaster Assistance Team is there to help. The Disaster Assistance Team is not an immediate response team. Instead, they respond within a few days of the event, providing, as available, clothing, food, and assistance with clean-up.

Food from the Heart is a ministry designed to provide emergency food supplies to the lessfortunate within our community. This is not a replacement for the local food banks. This is an emergency supply of food, enough for a few days, to give the recipient time to get set up with a food bank. This ministry also provides food supplies to some of our our other ministries.

At God Spot @ Peachtree Peddlers we provide free facepainting and temporary tattoos for children, we lead the children through making a salvation bracelet, we give away free ice pops, distribute Gospel tracts and church information and we pray for those in need. This is an outside event (we set up a canopy for shade) which is held every Saturday.

The Happy Feet Sock Ministry places slips of paper in balled up socks and distributes the socks to the homeless. The results are that the homeless receives a clean, new pair of socks which they can wear on their feet or hands, or use as a purse.

The Impact Fulton Team is our support team for the Fulton Industrial Boulevard events held by Maximum Impact Love, Inc.
